Died in 16 months - R. Campbell - UK
This Blu Ray so picture quality is obviously good. The setup menu is pretty and works well. Adjusting settings whilst watching a disk is also easy. The AV sync is often wrong but at least you can modify it easily.
What's not so good is that almost every disk doesn't permit you to resume watching after stopping. What's even worse is that, 16 months after buying it, it suddenly ceased working whilst watching a Blu Ray disk. It just stopped reading disk. I tried several different disks (including DVDs) and each time the device complains that no disk was inserted. My bet is that the laser has died. Looking at other's comments this seems to be a common complaint. Sony will do an exchange with a refurbished unit but, because I'm out of warranty, I'll have to pay 2. I've opted to buy a new Panasonic BD65 instead for 4.
