ContributionsBlu-Ray BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player (which is no difference in the basic specifications for
Version region and the region A and B multi-region version, so all contributions are available for both versions.)

There is good: Excellent image quality on Blu-ray, outstanding soundtrack support with onboard decoding Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD High Resolution and bitstream output Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, relatively low price compared to other standalone Blu-rayBD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player s, Ethernet port for firmware updates.
MDOJ,

My BD-P1400 has arrived late yesterday! The firmware was updated last night via Internet download and burn a CD. First impressions:

Video - !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Audio - !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FYI: There is no difference in picture quality or sound, or any other type of differenceThe U.S. version of the Region A-Region A and B version of the BD-P1400 Blu-ray Blu-ray Disc Player.

I tried a normal DVD and BRD to date and was very pleased. Load
The times are very acceptable. No negatives from me on this unit until now. Will
Report later when I get some of BRDs apparently problematic.

The Samsung BD-P1400 is a classic style. The front of the car is all shiny black with a thin strip of silver inBottom.

I have my Samsung BD-P1400 last night and boy was I excited! Before this review, let me begin by saying to us that this is the one and only Blu-ray BD-P1400 Blu-Ray disc player, and I felt that I perhaps have some of your respect. If I do not know, just lemme! I would also say that I upgrade to the latest firmware but my modem is not near a TV.

Image

Excellent, duh ...... Inky blacks, great contrast, detail, everything you'd expect from Blue

Design: Wonderful BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player still looking for the best, I think. Face is not very open, overload, and the polished surface rocks. Good remote.
Wonderful loading times. I have 5 movies so far, and all loaded in approx. 15 seconds. Then there was the new F4 Silver Surfer .... This is a BD + titles from Fox and many have had their complaints about the charging time. The BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player gave me noProblem and the multi-region version from Planet Omni will be even more incredible. Let me say that this right is again out of the box, do not update the firmware again!

FYI: There is no difference in picture quality or sound, or any other kind of difference in the region of a U.S. version of the Multi-Region A and B version of the BD-P1400 Blu-ray Blu-ray Disc Player.
Sound

I have not played with the sound as much as I have my Onkyo TX-SR705 yet. I realized thatthere is an option to set the rules for speakers coming from small to large in analog 5.1. There are other discussions and reports of persons to obtain the full bitstream DTS-BUT, the Blu-Ray BD P1400 Disc Player (after firmware upgrade) on other threads and forums. I am always very happy to try this!

More

The rest of the decree is fairly standard. Max 128x device forward again in the same position even after the movie, very good response from the remote poweredKeys, etc.

All in all, this is a BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player dynamite. With the firmware update, so now Guy will do almost everything right you can expect from a Blu-ray BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player!

In addition to Blu-ray DVD player allows the Samsung BD-P1400 standard definition and CDs.

FYI: There is no difference in picture quality or sound, or any other kind of difference in the U.S. Region A version of the Multi-Regionand B versions of Blu-ray BD-P1400 Blu-ray Disc Player.

The BD-P1400-PBD soundtrack, high resolution support is excellent. It has onboard decoding for Dolby Digital Plus Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD High Resolution, which can produce these soundtracks either in PCM via HDMI or analog outputs means. For receivers, the BD-P1400 also offers bitstream output for high resolution audio tracks. So if you have a newer receiver with onboard DolbyTrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding, you can set the BD-P1400 to output audio over HDMI in encoded bitstream format - let your receiver to decode, rather than the BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player.

There should be no difference in sound quality if you can decode decode the receiver or the BD-P1400 Blu-Ray disc player, but some AV fans love the "light" Dolby TrueHD on their new receiver. If a code freely convert DVDDisc $ 79.95 Planet Omni has also coming with two guarantees. So far I am very happy with this purchase. I was not sure if I read just because the business of bad reviews, but I bought it anyway.

Really do not know why people get upset if it takes only two minutes to get ready to play. , I rented several times, with Blu-Ray from Netflix used without problems. I am still waiting for the eight free movies.

Connectivity isalso solid. There is an HDMI output capable of carrying both 1080p video signals and high resolution audio.

For analog high-definition video, there is a component video output (limited to 1080i), and there is an S-Video and composite output for standard definition output. (As with all the BD-P1400 Blu-ray Disc Player s, no DVD upscaling via component video available). On the audio side there are the aforementioned HDMI output, along with 5.1 channel analog outputs, bothoptical and coaxial digital outputs and stereo analog outputs.

Rounding out the connectivity is an Ethernet port, CD player, you can upgrade the firmware available on the Internet - a feature that HD DVD players are common, but very rare in Blu-ray BD-P1400 Blu-Ray.

FYI: There is no difference in picture or sound quality, or any other kind of difference in the U.S. Region A version of the Multi-Region A and B version of the Blu-rayBD-P1400 Blu-ray Disc.

The BD-P1400 has a good job of making the opening sequence for Star Trek: Insurrection, demonstrating its ability 02:03 pull-down. Next up was Seabiscuit, and the BD-P1400 is a solid job with the difficult introduction, with few to no jaggies on the images in black and white.

MDOJ,

Just a quick update to Samy BD-P1400. 've Hired a BR from Netflix and have been really enjoying the BD-P1400 - how about you? All technoSleight of hand, as I'm concerned this is a great BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player.

I hope the guys responsible head of this forum is an adhesive to make the Samsung BD-P1400 - note - help! Watching movies at home here ... not save.

The Samsung device is really good for the price. The version multi-region is only $ 849.95 from Planet Omni, and looks at them with a double motherboard specially imported must cost a fortune in more hard workThis is a really big deal, IMHO.

I could connect my unit directly to my modem with a network cable (as per instructions in the Samsung manual) and the BD-P1400 Blu-Ray player, find the new firmware loaded, and is necessary for me not to get on the computer burn discs ... Very cool, and so on.

The Samsung has a great image and I can update the current DTS-HD Master Audio (Sony did not hear that for twice the price!).

With the pacethat new technology is progressing, I think it is very difficult for a manufacturer to manufacture these units, they get on the market and have very "current" new disk technology, (the) change daily, but Samsung has a me provided with a device that I can in my own modem and when I have an update available. I think it's incredible.

A little 'patience and understanding can go a long way. After all ... It was not long ago that if you bought oneelectronic component, you can not update at all. I am sure that Samsung is an update soon. I ran without food, I could not play as yet.

Since I have never seen a 1200 in action, I can not help - but the BD-P1400 PQ is excellent, but that's what Blu is all - right?

I have tried several BD from Netflix and some standard-def DVD's. All were great. Regarding the problem of handshake, I'm not really sure what it is .... and then switch-off, playWhat ... Why do you want to make a movie anyway?

Great BD P1400 Blu-Ray disc player, I could not be happier that the new BD-P1400 I last week. returned in 1200 to do so. (Plus 100 price difference for me. PROS = pic quality is by far the best I've seen, even better, then I had Panny.

Controls are simple and exactly the same mass. I do not like losing the signal on top of discs.
AUDIO = I am not able to use all the audio functionsbecause of my Onkyo a few years. I have it with the installation of a digital optical cable, the sound is excellent, except for the POPS me sometimes.

As for BD, PotC 2 minutes, had no problem and the multi-region version from Planet Omni will be even more incredible, in other BD movies. I noticed that after the break, I met and went to play, hit, the film would be to play for a minute and then stop. I had to hit play again. A big problem.

UsesEthernet port to download new firmware can not say, although the gap. I'm sorry that I am not technical, but this is to write my blue collar. no ?????? s I will be better, I can not answer

Just finished Watch Casino Royale - spectacular!

I have a Playstation 3 and impressive picture quality for both Blu-Ray and upscaling of standard DVDs was a software upgrade. We use this to our main HD TV in the living room. I need another BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player for asecond HD TV, we only had hung in our bedroom.

I waited for the BD-P1400 will be available because I go to Blu-Ray already decided and wanted the latest technology. I can not say enough about the sound quality that the BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player offers this is incredible. The picture quality is excellent and on par with the Playstation 3 I'm seriously considering buying a second BD-P1400 for our main set for great sound. GreatBD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player especially for money.

By far the best Blu-ray I've ever tested. Never watch cartoons, but now I'm spending a lot of time watching with my children.

This is a great Blue Ray BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player. Bitstream DTS HD MA now. I have owned this product for about two months and are excited about him, is a really good deal. I only use my Blu Ray BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player to play Blu Ray, becauseaudio receiver on a hard pipe Samsung 5 Image quality - is amazing. I own four Blu Ray (which I bought on Amazon for $ 14.99 per piece), and all good game without any problem and the multi-region version from Planet Omni will be even more incredible, and a crystal clear picture.

I bought this BD-P1400 Blu-ray Disc in December. I connected with an HDMI cable to a Sony receiver. The cable box from Comcast is also the connectionReceiver. The receiver is a 42-inch Panasonic Plasma 1080P online. Three HDMI cable, is this.

It worked perfectly from the start tried all Blu-Ray we have. We get about a week from Netflix. Can I play the third Pirates of the Caribbean Not sure why other reviewers do not.

The picture quality is superb, with the planet Earth. I think I can with the Panasonic TV mostly for that claim.

I have firmware version 1.2 in December. Ihas version 1.5 firmware yesterday, February 5. I downloaded it and created the ISO CD.

For me, it works quickly. So you have a couple of seconds to wait until the boat, so what? Go get a DVD while waiting.

Most computers now take minutes to boot. I guess that will never, probably in time, probably worse, since these are essentially computers, and technology, progress is slower to activate the machine and loaded.

After 'The firmware update, I checked my settings and I noticed that he had reset. If you have a digital receiver, you should make sure that the audio is set to "bit rate" and not PCM if you want surround sound.

I had no problem and the multi-region version from Planet Omni will be even more incredible is not regular DVDs or CDs. If it becomes obsolete, then replace my other DVD BD-P1400 Blu-ray Disc and improve the quality of regular DVDs with myother senior Samsung 720P September

I do not think anyone buys, why delay the format war. When buying anything today, so it is obsolete and will eventually throw one. So at least you can enjoy while, life is too short. At today's prices, what the hell is cheap, buy now before the dollar is worth nothing! You can create an entire home theater system 1080p HDMI-based system with speakers for less than $[...] now. Thanks China! I have my HDMI cablePlanet Omni, $ 19.95 for 2 meters in length, image and sound excellent!

Before this I connected, I updated the firmware via the Ethernet port. Once that was done I had no problem, and multi-region version from Planet Omni will be even more incredible, the BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player at all. I was wondering if this is to buy some bad reviews, but the deal was too good to join a Stand-Alone. Those of you who had problems with thisBD-P1400 Blu-ray Disc have every right to be here, complaining that what these assessments.

However, people complain that it is not 1.1 or 2.0 player (BD-P1400 Blu-Ray is not even stop to 2.0) should. Nowhere in the description because that's BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player will be 1.1. If you want to inform people that are coming updates and BD-P1400 Blu-ray Disc, which will not be able toThat performance going forward, but to say that is terrible and useless, because it is misleading as 1.0. I feel that a majority of people only want to see the film and rarely use the features of 1.1 (like 'image picture comment.)

If the BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player that is perfect for you. If you are a 1.1 BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player, get the Panasonic. To me, this will work for the next year, while End Blu-ray gets its act together andincludes an ambitious product. I hope those of you who have had problems that could come out of it and can now use the BD-P1400 Blu-ray disc like me.

I had no problem and the multi-region version from Planet Omni will be even more incredible, the Samsung BD-P1400-PBD. I put in, connected to the Internet and started the firmware upgrade utility. After about 20 minutes, the firmware update successfully and I played my first filmwithout problems. Every movie I've also played played flawlessly. You can also update the firmware by burning a CD or if you do not have Internet access, Samsung will send it to you.

This product works well on Blu-ray DVD format also further afield, music and CD-ROM. I found no problem and the multi-region version from Planet Omni will be even more incredible for him. It 'still offer a superior display plain DVDs on my 40 "TV, where my previous DVD BD-P1400Blu-Ray player would be only part of the screen.

A documented essay is that you try and touch the right TV input option, if a disk is inserted. May be appropriate for the TV is a Samsung.
I have this on Nov.30, 2007, and unlike other reviewers, what you have said, the BD-P1400 does not start where you left off. Everything else looks and works great.

To change this review to March 13, 2008, to reflect my experience with the device. ItIt seems to me that if a DVD resume where it left off depends on how the product WAS DVD and Blu-Ray BD-P1400 player. Some DVDs, such as "Lost, Season 3, once 'no chapter / scene makers them, much less chance of starting after a stop.

Some DVDs like "3:10 to Yuma", actually have their own system for marking where to stop or where you want to return, but otherwise require starting from scratch. However, some DVDs do notRestarted, which is stopped.

My main complaint with Blu-Ray (not necessarily with the BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player in particular) is that it is always necessary to start a DVD, if you have a DVD that does not start where it stopped, it must go through the painfully long start-up again.

Taught me minutes, Do not Break a DVD, which leads to close some of Blu-Ray Disc Player BD-P1400. Instead, I think it is about 8:01Speed, then when I return, I can easily return to where I was - much faster than a reboot.

If there is a better BD-P1400 Blu-ray Disc AB anywhere near this price, I have not heard. Now that HD DVD is dead, I hope that DVD Maker is his attention to making DVD BR focus of work easier and faster.

This is a great player. The only problem is the firmware update. I used to burn CD-R/RW method ... easier and faster. Burn *. isoImage with Nero Burning ROM. The instructions are in support [...]/. Got both HD-DVD and Blu-ray discs. regarding Blu-ray is better. HD DVD seems upconverted. Read the instructions carefully, that the new Blu-ray Live Free Die Hard, "contains a warning that lets you know the software update may be required.

Finally, remember, this is HDMI 1.3 compatible ... so use of 1.3 features, you need a cable-TV and HDMI-compatible .... 1.3 the image is a great need. Buy this nowBD-P1400 Blu-Ray player and update the software immediately.

I have read and continue to play a lot of complaints about the different Blu-ray and HD-DVD BD-P1400 Blu-ray Disc's not working, people were hoping. Can I say that with this model that I had zero problems.

I'm sure some people write that does not load this or that does, but it struck me. I have not found a perfect single-disc did not play. What people must remember is that everything is like a computer in this day and age, you may need to upgrade is part of life now, get over it.

The manufacturer's will finally come to an impeccable, probably yes, but in the meantime I will enjoy the film. If you're an early adopter, as I am on technology then no problem, you may not be a big problem. The BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player is easy to install, easy to play and loads fast enough. Glad Ipurchased and is already thinking about a second to several categories of rooms.

satisfaction for this product. Greatly increased my normal DVD. I was really surprised by this statement, but the Samsung is not as advertised. The Blu-ray Disc-Audio is very good. This coupling can be expected with my new surround system.

This product is money well spent for the viewing pleasure of giving. I recommend this product.

For the price this is a steal. The audio and videoThe quality here is great, quality and choice of Blu-ray top and you can be pretty sure you will always make Blu-ray for you for years to come. One of the best options for a special Ray BD-P1400 Blu-, PS3 if you are not interested.

Before deciding to purchase my Samsung BD-P1400 I have studied many of these reviews and were very helpful. I also read a special AV Science forum on this model onlineBD-P1400 Blue-Ray Disc Player. First, highlight all information and opinions of the customers problem is endemic to the implementation of the Blu-Ray new standard will be introduced gradually. Moreover, the functions are developed, which means that we are all on some occasions, where to buy the PS3 Blu-Ray BD-P1400 Blu-ray Disc (which is not).

I personally have no interest in owning a game console. Secondly, many of these articles describe in meticulousdetail the types of problems that people are using, and whether and how problems are solved. This review adds data for this second category - practical problems.

When my BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player Firmware was the first thing I did was install the latest version downloaded from Samsung. Propose the method to a CD, instead of using a direct network connection, in both cases, manuals and websites offer complete instructions. Ensure* Verify that the update was successful * Restart the Blu-Ray Disc Player BD-P1400, and then subjected to a firmware CD, and compares the disk version, the version installed.

What are the problems I had? In a month to see Netflix discs I am not a single hiccup, not a single blue screen, had no cancellations on either BD or SD-DVD playback, other problems have been with - I had * nothing * to provide perfect! True, some other criticalcontrols are inherent in the slow technology. But my BD-P1400 Blu-Ray player was flawless and my expectations were exceeded. Without hesitation, I give my BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Disc Player with five stars.

Pros: My favorite feature by far is the 24 frames per second output mode. Films display exactly as intended - whether good or bad - and "rub" lens swung into scenes is significantly improved compared to 30 FPS. ThisBut in my opinion, justify the relatively low price. [In a direct comparison with my 50 "Plasma TV is the video quality of movies from the BD-P1400 Clearly more than 24 frames per second, when the disks latest computer graphics cards on the Same That won the same cost, I] May Also functions and layout of the remote control that doubles up to control my Samsung TV. Yes, these basic features of the Blu-Ray, but were implemented very competent.

Cons: Myonly quibble is that I have a function set-ups, audio and video outputs for each other may be delayed by a selectable increment, as as. This would provide a perfect lip synchronization in the use of older (ie slower) audio decoder / receiver, not HDMI 1.3 compatible. But, to my knowledge, this feature is not available * * at every new Blu-ray BD-P1400 Blu-ray Disc, as the HDMI 1.3 standard includes an automatic synchronization if allThe components are HDMI 1.3 compatible.

Maybe I was lucky, but I have not a single "playability issue with the latest build of the latest firmware. Based on this - 5 stars.

We hope this model Samsung is also need assistance in the future to further optimize the operation of the firmware, for example.
In short, exceptional image quality --- my wife and I say, even for stills, "Polaroid Picture It!" Breathtaking.

The unit has all the necessary connections. The sound throughYamaha AV-Tuner channels via HDMI 7.1, but other connections are available.

There is a simple blue rings on / off button and a drawer open button-closure, which is on-board controls. The remote has several levels of complexity is easy to find and exploit the power control pause-play-rewind-fast/slow, which is 99% of the time you used. The remote also offers video menu controls (eg, language), menus and buttons and player options for controlling other--- Devices learn to use it only if and when you need it. There was absolutely no institution --- plug and play to do! Great neuro-ergonomics, ie, intuitive user experience.

In more than three weeks of regular use, we found some mishaps, but it is unclear whether this technology is the player himself or emerging. Several times the device has been in "sleep, as if the button was pressed, I suggest to" play "to get the movie started again. Slightly disturbing.

What I would alsohow? Perhaps the controls for the AV amplifier and, even if the device is equipped with all the key players necessary for the TV and amplifier. Perhaps better backlighting on all keys. This is one heck of a game, recommended for everyone to join Blu-ray.
Good BluRay DVD. Easy to use. watching high-definition DVD is great, but looks normal DVD is better.

No problem yet.

Samsung 1400 is much better than the Toshiba HD-A3. The BD-P1400 supports not only TrueHD, butDTS-HD MA bitstream via HDMI output. The A3 can only extract the DTS core and can not send bitstream DTS-HD MA out. The HD-A35 and the XA2 can do alone, but both are much more expensive than the players. The BD-P1400 can also output full 1080p/24 video, while the A3 can only send and 1080i 24fps does not support output.

Both are slow to load, but the A3 is much slower, taking nearly two minutes of warm-up full of players and video displayMonitor / screen. The PS3 has less than 30 seconds btw. The A3 is also very strong, so distractingly mainly because it is a high operating noise that is difficult to ignore.

Total BD-P1400 is the high-Blu-ray standalone player that supports lossless audio capabilities and output (PCM, TrueHD, DTS-HD MA) and 1080p/24. I would still recommend a four hundred U.S. dollars on PS3 BD-P1400, but if you really want a standalone player can not go wrong with the P1400 BD.
INot just the players really, but I have a friend who bought one and loves it.

This is a great Blu Ray and I am very happy with my purchase, I recommend this player for all and the price is great.

It has not disappointed at all. I have no problem playing a DVD or Blu-ray is not. I did not study all-ware, download to resolve any problems. The BD-P1400 is currently out of the box. The only thing that comes close to a scam, is thatslow start-up and load.

I am very happy with this player and I'm happy. I get my report is that it works so much, and I have recommended to many of my friends, when asked for comment.

great with my new Samsung plasma Works ... Have not had any problems other auditors expression. Coupled with an HDMI cable to your TV and home theater optical audio ... Stunning PQ and sound.

This Blu-Ray is first class. Easy installation. ThisHi-Def is my first player, and I am very happy with my purchase. I worked the last firmware update according to the instructions in the manual, and it was good. The player has a modern, sleek, shiny appearance. The sounds are incredible, and the images are too beautiful to be described. Very easy to install and use. I never knew the difference that a Blu-ray can do in experience to watch the movie. , I'm no expert, just a normal parent, which boughtThe Blu-ray player for the family concerned.

I had a month of these players for about an hour ... After updating the firmware, it was perfect. Amazing picture, great rack in the entertainment industry sees peace with my HD DVD player.

The upconversion is wonderful! Best of all, I use optical and advantages of the new audio codecs.

I give this player 5 stars!

It is not a unique problem. I also got on the end with 2 "clearanceopen top and back without overheating. None of my films have been blocked or not to play in this situation. I tried Live Free or Die Hard, all Harry Potter, Planet Earth and others. Firmware 1.5 arrived on January 24 and it seemed to solve all the problems were, among others. I would definitely recommend this player to others.

I have a PS3 and Sony S 300 Blu-ray and Blu-ray players are both excellent. But I like my new Samsung 1400BD can decode DTS HD, and makes the experience a wonderful film now. The first thing you should do a new owner, is to samusung.com and download the latest firmware update (it's a simple rapid procedure). There are also references to the handbook that explains how to update the players. I have the latest Blu-ray Disc releases from Fox, Disney, Sony, etc. and the quality of picture and sound is guaranteed. Very satisfied with the product.
